Dani and I – asides from having settled on the date earlier this year, and recently paying the venue’s deposit, and coming to terms with catering – have now booked our wedding-proper. The “big event” itself is just a reception, with the “marriage,” as it were, being done at City Hall before a judge.
On my end, I despise religiosity and there was no world in any existence that had me involving a holy man or other gibberish. For us to be wed, for me, meant we would be doing this through a judge and civil marriage. Thankfully for us, the whole set-up was very simple, we just phoned in to City Hall’s Ministerial Associates Inc. which let us pick a day and time, reminded us to have a marriage license in advance, took down our payment information (a $290 fee is applied), and we were all set!
